Health & safety is an important topic on riding bikes. Therefore, teaching materials and quizzes regarding these aspects by the usage of bikes were created. We have run two workshops on this topic, which include the use of the Airscout systems developed by the different schools during the project.

1st WORKSHOP ETTELBRUCK (LUXEMBOURG) 20th November 2024

The groups worked focused on four categories:

1. SAFETY ACCESSORIES: We created a POSTER to show different accessories, highlighting the most important ones.🚧
2. BIKE RIDING RULES: We created a VIDEO-TUTORIAL with the main DOs and DON’Ts when riding bikes and demonstrations of correct bike riding habits.🚲
3. ADAPTATIONS FOR DISABLED: We calculate a BUDGET to raise awareness of the disadvantage that adapting bicycles represents for many disabled people.🦽
4. ERGONOMICS We created a GUIDE to avoid injuries when riding bikes.🚴🏼‍♀️

2nd WORKSHOP SANKT PÖLTEN (AUSTRIA) 20th March 2025

We did research about the effects of air pollution on human health:

1. Effects on the respiratory system🤿
2. Effects on skin and hair🧟‍♂️
3. Effects on the eyes🙈
4. Effects on allergic processes 😷
5. Effects on the musculoskeletal system🏋🏼
6. Other effects💔

Every group searched for information about these effects regarding one of the parameters that the Airscout can measure:

1. What are the effects of NOx on health?
2. What are the effects of fine dust on health?
3. What are the effects of CO2 and CO on health?

Every group designed its own accessories- solution or new type of bike to help prevent these effects.
